Ate half a bag of lettuce, 2 tbsp of light bleu cheese dressing, 2 south beach snack bars, a lean cuisine spring rolls meal (half a package), some carrots, an apple and an orange at work yesterday. Microwaved a mess of popcorn via brown paper bag method last night when I got home, and it is so much better than air-popped if you like it slightly burnt (and I do!). Thank you, person who introduced me to this method.
At any rate, I'm eating some more of this Kashi nonsense for breakfast, along with a slice of raisin bread toast, a peach and a banana.
Don't know if I'll have time to work out this morning, as I woke up at 8:30 instead of 8, and yesterday I was pushing the bounds of lateness, but I shall if I have time, and put it on a later entry if I do.
Still need to put together a lunch for today, so I'm going to get to that.
Do it, Fatheads!

Back In The Saddle
Back in the saddle. First full standard work-day with groceries in tow and appropriate wakeup time, and I'm comfortable calling it a success.
I'm engaging in more fruit consumption than I did when I was on Nutrisystem, largely because it is summer, I live in the south, and peaches are fantastic... the oranges are more a product of "it goes in my bag without needing any packaging". Today, I consumed 1 bag of romaine lettuce (it's a cheap way to keep my lazy ass from finding excuses not to have salads) which was spread across my lunch and dinner, a small thing of carrots (I need to measure my tupperware sizes), 1 small Fuji apple, a yogurt (60 cal Light&Fit, because I'm like, totally soul-sisters with Heidi Klum, ya'll!), and a BBQ Chicken Pizza from Lean Cuisine for dinner. Oh, and some manner of Maple South Beach Snack Bar.
I think the Lean Cuisine Pizza I ate may actually have new packaging, but whatever, it was good. Keep in mind, this food was spread across a 10-hour period, and was mostly portioned around a meal at noon and another at 6ish. When I got home, I ate a peach and an orange, because I was hungry, and I don't really have anything around I can be bad with, except possibly popcorn... but I don't have any butter, and air-popped bare popcorn is not delicious.
That's enough nonsense for me for one night, I'm trying an electronics off at 11 rule, and this isn't the only thing I wanted to use my computer for tonight... I didn't mean to make that joke, I need to pay bills.
G'night, Fatheads!

Thursday Weigh-In
Thursday seems to be the hardest word.

Jesus Christ, when did I start not minding yogurt? So I've got a spare minute this morning, so I thought I'd actually say what the hell I've been eating this week.
Enjoy this picture of a mountain.
Breakfasts have been a bit of a rush, with me trying to get a lunch together while eating. I've been having 2 pieces of raisin toast, and usually a banana or another piece of fruit, before leaving for work.
In my lunches, I've been packing a mess of romaine lettuce and light bleu cheese dressing for lunch, along with 2 oranges, a miscellaneous piece of fruit, 2 yogurts, the occasional granola bar, and some cashews. This has pretty well stretched across the course of my days, which have lasted up to 9pm some nights (to be fair, I'm transitioning to a swing shift of 12-8:30).
Dinners have been a bit more of a hodgepodge affair. I've grabbed dinner with co-workers a few nights, but I've been trying to keep with a rule of minimizing carbohydrates and focusing on protein (grilled/steamed vegetables instead of fries, no fried entrees, etc.).

It's been a busy week so far, what with generally getting out of bed in something of a tardy fashion and then having too much to do when I get home. I haven't exactly had a whole lot of time for exercise, so I haven't.
I've been keeping myself good so far this workweek, although I've been feeding a slight peanut addiction as well as grabbing delivery for dinner both Monday and last night. Monday, I had a Jimmy Johns "Unwich" (no bread, only lettuce) that their website clocked at about 330 calories after I told them to hold the oil, mayo and cheese. Last night, I ordered some Chinese food: chicken teriyaki skewers and some steamed dumplings. I needed the dumplings to push it over the delivery minimum cost, but I only ate a few of them, and didn't eat the actual dough part of most of the ones I did eat.
I've been taking food with me to work in accordance with the diet plan: morning snack of an apple and yogurt, Nutrisystem lunch with either a piece of fruit or some vegetables, and an afternoon Nutrisystem Snack. I forgot a morning snack the other day, and the only remotely healthy thing in the machine was peanuts, which kind of kick-started my current peanut kick. I'm almost out of the jar of them I bought at the grocery store the other day, we'll see if I decide to buy more.
For Breakfast today, I'm having an egg over hard (protein), a slice of raisin bread toast (carbohydrate) and a juice box (fruit) along with my Nutrisystem Nutriflakes Cereal.
That's the news from the South, where it's been getting into the 70s every day for about the last week, and it's been sunny every afternoon for the same period. Suck it, Yankees.

I've become involved with a shop support project that has become something of an ordeal at work. Unfortunately, that means I was there until 10pm last night, and I'm going back into the shop this morning to continue to deal with it.

Yesterday, I had 2 egg mcmuffins without cheese for breakfast, and about 5 doughnut holes from Dunkin Donuts over the course of the day, as well as a bag of Nutrisystem Sour Cream and Onion Soy Chips. I left for dinner at about six, and had half a Bacon Turkey Bravo from Panera with an apple instead of chips and half of a chocolate chip cookie. When I got home, I ate the remainder of the sandwich and cookie, drank some gin and fell asleep watching Crank 2: High Voltage, which is possibly the best movie ever filmed. I'm, again, dehydrated and haven't crapped in a day or two, hopefully I'll get some "time for myself" this afternoon.
You like how I was vulgar and then I used a euphemism? Yeah, you do.
These are the breaks, Fatheads, ya'll take care, now.

Madness
My days have been a bit crazy this week, so I haven't had the time to write any real posts about what I'm eating, but I'm committed to putting my daily numbers out there, so here we are.
I know I promised yesterday I'd write a food summary post last night, but that clearly wasn't going to happen when I got home at 8ish. We had a going away dinner for a coworker, and I was just exhausted after this long week. I might get a post in this weekend sometime, but this morning, at least, I need to eat another quick meal and run, so that means weigh-in, only.

As you can see, things are going well on this front, so no worries. I've mostly been staying on the Nutrisystem meals, but I've had to eat out for several dinners in the past few days, and I went out for lunch on Wednesday. I'm keeping myself under control when I do, and I'm running around so much at work that I'm pretty much staying on track. I've been packing appropriate lunches, and will have one again today.
I'm definitely working tomorrow, and may be working part of the day on Sunday, so we'll see what I have time for, post-wise.
Listen to the music, Fatheads.

Pretty minor weight loss, but that's hardly surprising, given what I've had for dinner the last two days. Last night was a bit worse, since I allowed myself more of the cheese and didn't eat the "salad" dry.
For breakfast, I had a bowl of Nutriflakes Cereal. Which is just like every single other bran flakes cereal on the planet.
I also had an orange (fruit), a slice of raisin bread toast (carbohydrate) and an egg (protein) with some hot sauce. I had a bit of a short bus moment this morning. You'll note the fork in the picture above, useful for eating the cereal, no? I did the same thing to myself with my yogurt at work yesterday, where I ended up sort of drinking the yogurt and abandoning a good portion of it because a plastic for is no good at holding onto it.

It's a comic. In the spirit of being a good internet user, I'm not hotlinking the image, and I felt too lazy to download it and reupload it to one of my accounts to post here. You should check it out, anyway, because Bug is hilarious.
I learned, this morning, that this was the music video for the song, and that it had a different version that the band recorded for it. I didn't like it. It was unfamiliar and therefore not as good. Fortunately, some intrepid youtuber made the wise decision to lay the original track over the video, so here we are.

Yay for Leftovers
SO I was intensely glad for my leftovers when I got home tonight, because I worked late and was in no way in a mood to deal with getting my various sides together.
For lunch I had my Nutrisystem Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes, along with broccoli and carrots, a juice box and yogurt for morning snack, and a bag of Nutrisystem BBQ Soy Chips for my afternoon snack.
When I got home, as I said, I was tired and happy that I had food ready. It was a busy day at work, but busy is good. I really love the work I do, especially when it's frustrating. I know that's perverse, but I'm an engineer, challenges make my day. Digging into various "opportunities for improvement" with people from other departments and figuring out how to solve problems is what I love doing, and it's a big part of what I do both when I'm crawling around on jets and when I'm back at my desk. On a side note: don't ever get aircraft sealant on your hand or clothing. It's designed to withstand 40 years or 100,000 cycles (flights), and I guarantee that shit is not coming off of your clothes without you melting a hole in them.
With that, I go to sleep. G'night, Fatheads.

Attempts at Responsibility Backfire
So I had a good day at work, albeit late at both ends because of the folly of my alarm clock.
I had my Nutrisystem Cheesy Homestyle Mashed Potatoes for lunch, along with some carrots & celery, a yogurt with a juice box for morning snack, and a bag of Nutrisystem Sour Cream & Onion Soy Chips for afternoon snack. Unfortunately, I didn't leave work until after 5:30, so I decided to pick up dinner on the way home.
I decided to go to my deli, and order a side salad instead of the chips that would come with a turkey sandwich. I'd eat half the sandwich, and then have some nice greens to go with it. It's more expensive to dine this way, but I was more concerned with eating a proper meal than with spending a few extra bucks for the salad.
Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication on my part (ed. my spellchecker doesn't believe 'miscommunication' is a real word, how fucked up is that?) I ended up with my turkey sandwich and half of a house salad. Apparently, at this deli, "half a house salad" translates to "almost as much ham and turkey as was on your sandwich". Next time, I will remember to ask for an all-greens salad. The turkey sandwich had some bacon, sprouts, lettuce and tomato on it. It theoretically had avocado, which I failed to discern while eating it, so I'm calling bullshit.
At any rate, I ate only half the sandwich, and I ate about a third of the meat, while leaving the Swiss and the shredded cheddar alone. I also ate the pickle, because I'm crazy like that. I'm putting the rest of the food in the fridge for dinner tomorrow. Obviously, pics cuz it did happen, suckas.
Last week on Sons of Anarchy: Jemma threatens a group of nuns with chopping a baby in half, and not in the way I routinely do, but by holding a gun on a baby. This is the best show on television.
Video unrelated.
G'night, Fatheads.

Fifty Percent Is Only Failing In School
In life, it's failure plus job loss, unless you're in a union. At any rate, I made it 100% on my predictions for the games today, but only 50% on what I actually wanted to see. The Bears, once again, broke the hearts of Chicagoans world-wide. I have the unique joy of saying that both my birth-city team and my home-town team were taken out of the fucking playoffs by the biggest rival of one of the teams. Awesome.
At any rate, I ate a ham sandwich and low-fat chips from Jimmy Johns for lunch, and a turkey-bacon sandwich with low-fat chips from the same restaurant for dinner. In the middle somewhere, I had a bag of Nutrisystem Soy BBQ Chips. I also had a slice of raisin bread toast for breakfast this morning.
I finished my laundry (last load is in the dryer now) but did almost none of the other cleaning I wanted to accomplish this weekend. Maybe I'll have better success stretching it over the week this week than I did last week. Of course, a key part of that plan involves going to bed on time, with TV and computer off at 8pm... which hasn't happened, obviously.
I also went through the shipment of food I got this week and mostly distributed it/reorganized the Nutrisystem pantry here in the Fatness Castle. I segregated the food that's going to be traveling with me for business next month, and next weekend/this week I need to figure out if both it and my clothes can fit together in a suitcase, or if I need to ship the food or some other alternative I haven't thought of, yet. This reorganization was accomplished in concert with a partial cleaning of the kitchen and the Doing Of The Dishes, a foul pagan rite that must be performed at least once, sometimes twice a week in the life of a bachelor (if he's stopped buying as many paper/plastic plates as he used to).
Shit. It just occurred to me that my towels are currently in that dryer, meaning that I need to remember to pull them out before I get in the shower tomorrow. YES I have more towels, but I like those ones, which could have something to do with why they're the ones I use. So I'm going to sign off now, pray that I remember that in the morning, and lament the fact that I'm not allowed to get drunk on beer to forget the crushing losses both the Bears and the Eagles suffered both because I want to lose weight AND because I need to get up for work on a manufacturing schedule tomorrow.
Later, Fatheads.

Things You See At Lunchtime
I stayed in last night, because I just didn't feel like going out in the southern cold. As I've told some people: just because we born-of-the-north scoff at the temperature, that doesn't mean the rest of the population does.
Weight: 299.8 lbs
Body Fat: 41.9%
Water: 44.5%
Now that I've told you that, let me tell you what I ate last night that limited my weight loss.
First of all, during the day at work I ate only my diet food. I had a morning snack of the awful hippie yogurt (god, why did I buy 2 weeks of it before trying it?) and a juice box. For lunch, I had a frozen Nutrisystem Steak & Cheese Melt. I had a bag of Nutrisystem Sour Cream & Onion Soy Chips.
I went off the wagon for dinner and on, straight up, yo. As those of you who follow the Twitter know, I went to Five Guys for dinner last night. I wanted to experiment. It turns out that if you ask them to give you only the cup of fries, they will be kind and respect your wish not to eat 4 times as many fries as you should (a serving is around 112 grams, the whole cup weighed about twice that, and the scoop they use to add fries to the bag is bigger than the cup. I ordered a single-patty cheeseburger with many vegetables and whatnot, and despite bringing home some ketchup, I only used the malt vinegar (if you don't eat malt vinegar on fries, you are a communist, and should turn yourself into the government IMMEDIATELY).
After dinner, I played much Halo: Reach, and drank around 5 martinis. Before allowing myself the martinis, I insisted on drinking a gallon of water. I became hungry and ordered a pizza around midnight. I only ate a bit of it, and dumped the rest in the trash so that I would not be tempted... then dumped expired milk on it to ensure that I would not give in to really disgusting temptation... IT WAS A CLEAN GARBAGE BAG!
Brief break from the action: I've been searching for what the hell I did with the copy of Repo Men I had from Netflix since Christmas. I had brought it and 2 other movies with me on vacation, and returned the other two immediately after getting back home. I had searched high and low last week, and could not find it. I just lifted up my fucking laptop, and realized it was under it.
It's too late for a full breakfast, but too early for a full lunch, so I grabbed a juice box and a slice of raisin bread to tide me over until lunch... for which I've ordered Jimmy Johns... which I also ordered for dinner. I'm taking it easy today, I need to clean and do laundry, and the NFC Championship is on today, GO BEARS!
Before that's on, I'll probably actually fold the clean laundry that's sort of been rotating through my basket for about 2 weeks and divide up the pile on the floor into loads while I watch Repo Men. It can't be as good as Repo! The Genetic Opera, but I'll try not to judge it by that standard.
Maybe not the best from the film, but it's what came to mind. Root for the Bears or die, Fatheads.

Write The Best Post (Or I'll Eat Your Soul)
Oh, Saturday, what a day to be working. Hey, at least I get to sleep in a bit, right?
Weight: 300.2 lbs
Body Fat: 41.9%
Water: 44.5%
I'm still fairly exhausted this morning, although I don't know why. I only played a little bit of video games last night, and was asleep at a decent hour (Halo: Reach has Griff Ball right now, but I forced myself off around 10pm). GriffBall:
Above: RoosterTeeth's Explanation of GriffBall. Well, I'll get on with the summary of yesterday, then, since I didn't feel like posting when I got home last night. I had Nutrisystem Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes for lunch, along with some carrots and celery, and a juice box for morning snack, as well as a bag of Nutrisystem Soy BBQ Chips for afternoon snack.
I had a long afternoon (didn't finish with various things after work until 7ish) after which I went to Whole Foods to pick up dinner and yogurt. They didn't have the Dannon Light & Fit I've been eating, but they did have some hippie-branded one that's probably exactly the same thing, but they can't sell it under another brand because it makes hippies cry. At any rate, I had a piece of Turkey Meatloaf and some paella. I only ate about half the paella, and my secret is: that I don't really like paella. I forget this occasionally, and think "my god, that looks tasty" and then am full of annoyance and regret over my poor decision.
Speaking of poor decisions, I've managed to avoid the dessert table in the past, but I slipped a bit yesterday. I got this chocolate chip cookie sandwich, and ate it with about a 10 oz glass of milk. It was worth it. I apologize for the darkness.... the pigment... the lighting (man, it's hard to break out once you go down that path)? Yes, I apologize for the lighting and the too-high shutter speed for last night's photographs, I didn't bother to change the settings on the camera (or actually look through the sight) before I shot. At any rate, my portions were pretty decent, although I should have had a salad or some vegetables with the meal to make it a bit healthier, and I probably should have bought just one cookie instead of two that had delicious chocolate icing between them. Whatever, if I did all that, the communists would win.
For breakfast this morning, I had frozen Nutrisystem Homestyle Pancakes. I believe I've now exhausted my frozen breakfasts. I have quite a few of them still in my pantry, however, and I just got next month's dry food delivery yesterday. I'll need to unpack it this weekend.
Along with that, I horked down an egg with hot sauce (protein), an orange (fruit) and a slice of raisin bread toast (carbohydrate). It's a new loaf that I picked up yesterday, and it had one of those crappy ends in it (I like end pieces of bread, but this one was one of those really thin, almost crackery ones) so I consumed it, in accordance with the prophecy.
So with this rather corpulent post out of the way, I'm now prepared to face my day at work with the lunch/snacks that I have packed. I only require a shower and pants to face the shiny demon in the middle of the road. AND HE SAID:
G'day, Fatheads.

Summer Time?
It's been a long day. I got up a bit late, got to work a bit later than I like (I don't have a "hard" start time) and I distracted myself with work and ended up leaving later than I should have.
I had Nutrisystem Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes for lunch, along with some celery and some sliced peppers. I also had a juice box for a morning snack, and Nutrisystem Sour Cream and Onion Soy Chips.
For dinner, I once again had one of the Nutrisystem Southwest Chicken Wrap.
I decided to play "burn your insides" as my dinner game, so I tossed a sliced jalapeno (no seeds) and some red and yellow peppers with paprika, cayenne pepper and hotsauce into the pan.
I also tried a new regular dressing. Cindy's Kitchen Power Dressing (Jalapeno Ranch Style). I only had a tablespoon of it, since it was regular, and it was my fat for the meal.
I also had some celery (unlimited vegetable) and a slice of wheat toast (carbohydrate).
G'night, Fatheads.

I Do It For The Ladies
Because Bitches be all about dem planes. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, what's say we pretend it never happened and I tell you what I shoved down my throat today?
For lunch, I had a frozen Nutrisystem Toasted Ham & Cheese. Unfortunately, I do not have a toaster at work, so I had it from a microwave for the first time. It was basically like having a warm, soft wheat bread sandwich (I liked it). I also ate a morning snack of a juice box around 10, and had some celery with lunch.
When I got home, I grabbed a snack of a Nutrisystem Oatmeal Cookie... of which I apparently do not have a stock photo. I will have to remember this for the next time I have one handy. Well, after I ate that, much surfing of the internet took place, upon the conclusion of which, I decided I'd better fucking make dinner before it got too late.
When I went to grab dinner from the cabinet today, I realized I only have 3 kinds of dinners remaining... but I've got almost 2 weeks worth of them. This is not counting the slightly-less-than-a-week's worth of frozen dinners I have, mind you. But chief amongst the dry food dinners are the Southwest Chicken Wrap and the BBQ Sauce with Pork Wrap. Tonight, I went with the latter (for those of you who never quite got latter/former down, see pictorial above).
I know, I KNOW what the wrap looks like if you just dump it out of the package, alright? IT TASTES GOOD and that's all that matters to me, tonight. But don't the bell peppers and celery look pretty? I think the vegetables look pretty, and that fucking bread... you all saw how that bread (carbohydrate) was looking at me! Dressed in that light brown toasting, it knew what it was asking for! Don't even get me started on that filthy light ranch dressing (fat), that tart ended up ALL OVER the vegetables.
Ahem, I seem to have lost my composure for a moment there, and I do apologize. Now, we can discuss desert, which, as is typical for me, these days, probably won't happen. The song below is not what I listened to over dinner. I actually classed it up and started with the full BWV 1007 during prep and finished BWV 1008 while I was finishing dinner (Jian Wang's interpretation). However... I came across the video below while looking for BWV 1007 on the Youtube, and it was sufficiently badass to take its place in this post.
Put that in your ear canal, Fatheads!

Night Out... Success?
So I went out last night. My intent was to find a quite coffee shop and read some books/drink much coffee. I started out at a hookah bar with a buddy, then moved on to a wing joint/sports bar to watch the fucking pack crush Atlanta. We went there for dinner, over the course of which I had two jack and diets before switching to rum and diet. I had two skewers of shrimp (10 medium/large shrimp) with broccoli instead of fries. Of course, the broccoli was covered in butter and salt, but it's still much better than fried potatoes. I would provide a picture, but I was in a bar. Bars tend to be dark, and not conducive to even the nicest phone camera photography.
From there, I went on to lose horribly at pool, while continuing to drink rum and diets, with the occasional shot of I don't even remember. And then there was dancing. One must be drunk for dancing, otherwise one will realize how ridiculous one looks, and stop immediately. This one did not stop.
Through the entire night, I drank Bacardi and Diets after dinner (as I said, with the occasional shot that magically appeared) until my last drink of the night. I ordered a Harp beer, and drank just a few mouthfulls of it before deciding "no, this is not worth the calories". I was very proud of myself. In the past, I've always resorted to beer on these broken diet nights. My pattern is to start off good with Bacardi and diets, get buzzed, and then maintain with beer. Last night, I managed to just cruise on the Bacardi and Diets.
Of course, I'm a little upset with myself that I did any drinking at all, but I need to face facts. I'm employed again (thank God), I live downtown in one of the greatest cities in the country, and I have an active social life. It's unrealistic to expect that I won't be drinking at all. I just need to restrict myself to the lower calorie hard liquor drinks with diet soda or no non-liquor additives, and keep my nights out to a minimum.
On the walk home, I ran into the supermarket and bought some manner of sammitch and a bag of chips (the standard larger size of bag). I ate most of the (not very large) sammitch and very little of the chips, apparently, before passing out in front of my living room television. I left my I believe there was at least roast beef, possibly ham and turkey, and American cheddar.
Weight: 301.8 lbs
Body Fat: 42.8%
Water: 43.8%
I'm a bit dehydrated, but this is still a good thing. I'm going to consume the remaining rotisserie chicken in my fridge along with some small portion of the fantastic salt and vinegar chips I bought last night while I watch some TV and rehydrate this morning, then I'm throwing out the remainder of the chips and possibly putting my fat ass on the elliptical (probably just going to play drums).
Enjoy the alternative to yesterday's music, Fatheads!
PS: I ate a morning snack of a drumstick from the rotisserie chicken and a juice box for morning snack yesterday, and some bell peppers and a Nutrisystem Turkey Hot Dog for lunch.

Moderation
So today was the last day of a week-long class in which I and some coworkers learned some of the basic mechanic skills used to build a plane, that we might better do our jobs as engineers. Every day this week, most of my coworkers have gone to lunch, and I stayed at the training facility and consumed my healthy meals with the other trainees. Today, I decided to branch out.
I had a "Turkey Cobb Salad". "Cobb", at this BBQ restaurant, apparently translates to: a whole boiled egg, 2 slices of bacon, a half an avocado, and about 2 oz of turkey. Really, when I break it down, the only terrible part of it all, portion-wise, is the fat in the avocado. Avocado is supposed to be "good fat", however... so I deem this to be an acceptable, if borderline unacceptable, lunch.
It's probably excessive, but to give some perspective: in the past, I've ordered an entire rack of ribs with the attendant two sides of mashed or fried potatoes and mac & cheese. I will call this an improvement (there were no less-threatening salad options, is another statement I should make). Ideally, maybe I should have eaten half the salad, or ordered it without the bacon and avocado, or sat alone and eaten my diet food. Ideally.
So at any rate, I had a number of evening errands to run after work, the last of which was a trip to the supermarket for minor things. I'm still good for veggies, but I was running low on paper products (which I do NOT buy at the hippie store, frigging sandpaper for your ass) and some soda (also something the hippies don't stock, I wonder why?). I had been considering stopping at the deli on the way home for a Caesar salad, but decided that, if they had rotisserie chickens at this supermarket, I would be allowed to buy one, along with whatever salad they had sans meat.
They did. I did. I'm eating now. I've decided that the MOST I can eat is half the chicken, although I've eaten the breast and the wing, and I'm only just nibbling the drumstick now. I will take a break and demolish the other half of this salad, then reconvene to determine if the rest of said chicken half shall be consumed. (EDIT: before publishing this post, I finished the drumstick and thigh. I feel quite full, and the other half of the chicken is in the fridge, possibly to go in my lunch tomorrow.)
I would also like to note that I stuck precisely to my list... Although I just realized I forgot to fucking buy handsoap. I've got a dispenser in each bathroom, but I'm washing my hands with Dawn in the kitchen. Goddamnit, guess I'll have to get some the next time I make a vegetable run.
I may sit out and have a cigar, or I'll just switch straight to the couch, where the video games happen. I'm thinking some CoD: Black Ops to start with, leading into some Halo: Reach. Possibly some Rock Band 3 in there, I don't know. I have to get up for work tomorrow, though I can go in later than usual, so I can't game until 4am as I have in the past.
G'night, Fatheads.

Back On The Horse
Morning, Fatheads!
I didn't post yesterday because I was in a huge rush in the morning and I just kind of spaced in the evening, so here's the farm report. I grabbed one of my Nutrisystem breakfast bars and a juice box for breakfast, then ate a yogurt, a juice box and a Nutrisystem Red Beans and Rice meal while I was at work. After work, I had to go to an appointment, after which I went to Whole Foods (not my normal supermarket, but there's one near where my appointment was) and picked up various vegetables for the week, along with dinner, which was an over-large bowl of clam chowder and some chips and guacamole. Inauspicious beginnings to this week, indeed.
Weight: 314.4
Scale fail on other numbers.
I also haven't gotten some good reading time in on the john in several days, which is starting to aggravate me. Add that to the list of reasons I shouldn't go off-script. At any rate, it's breakfast time.
The basis of today's breakfast was Nutrisystem Low-Fat Granola.
The STAR of today's breakfast was a scrambled egg (protein) with half a jalaepeno (extra food, I know) diced into it. I also had a slice of cinnamon raisin bread (carbohydrate), a blood orange (fruit) and the necessary 4oz of milk for the granola.
Jalapeno egg was a good decision, and thank god for that, because I've got 2.5 more of the things in a container in the fridge. On that note, I definitely went overboard at the supermarket last night. I bought about twice as many vegetables as I did last week, which I haven't actually finished. I guess this will force me to be better about sticking to the diet? After discarding my cauliflower (which isn't worth the hassle of returning), I sliced up the cucumbers, 2 celery hearts, and various bell peppers I bought, and stowed them along with the baby carrots and jalapenos for easy access.
In the work food I've prepared for today, I have cucumber (unlimited vegetable), a yogurt (protein? dairy? it's one of those, and mine are all small), a juice box (fruit), and a Nutrisystem Turkey Hot Dog and a slice of wheat bread. That should cover all eventualities... except for an afternoon snack. I'll throw some Nutrisystem Zesty Herb Mix or something in there.
Enjoy your daily dose of hippie music, Fatheads, it's time for work.

Lunch Out, Small Dinner
So I had the walking tour thing this morning, and that meant going out for lunch before heading back to the plant.
I had a salad at a Greek diner that had cheese, bacon and gyro meat. I only used one of the containers of house dressing, which was probably still too much. There was around an oz or two of gyro meat, 2 thin slices of bacon and a little bit of cheese. The portions weren't too bad, but it was probably too much fat, although it was better than some of my options (a gyro with a large side of Greek potatoes, for example) and I'm pretty okay with it. Also: I've decided that this is in keeping with my Goal, because there was nothing fried in it.
As a result, I was only a bit hungry when I got home, so I ate a South Beach snack bar. Later in the evening, I grabbed some celery and carrots with light ranch dressing for dinner, which I'm going to eat while watching season 2 of Breaking Bad. Season 1 was a Christmas gift that I very much enjoyed over the New Years weekend, so I put seasons 2 right at the top of the queue, along with the last blu ray of season 1 of Mad Men as well as seasons 2 and 3 of that show (we indulged in a slight marathon of a sibling's gift of Season 1 over Christmas, and now I have 2 new show addictions).
G'night, Fatheads!

Dinner, Temptation Resistance
So whenever I've had an unpleasant appointment after work, I've gotten in the habit of "rewarding" myself with takeout from either the supermarket (jesus christ, when did the Whole Foods hot bar get so good for fat people?) or fast food. Today marks day one of breaking that habit. Fuck yeah, not eating delicious things that are high in both starches AND fats... Sweet candy zombielord, I could go for some starches and fats in quantity.
But no, instead, I treated myself to a frozen Nutrisystem Salisbury Steak with Macaroni & Cheese.
Pretty decent, and the cauliflower (vegetable), celery (unlimited vegetable), 2 tbsp of light ranch dressing (fat) and a slice of wheat toast (carbohydrate) didn't go amiss, either. Wine and apples in the background: not a part of this particular meal, but the diet Mug root beer is.
For dessert, I had a Peppermint Cookie Patty, of which I apparently do not have a stock picture. It was delicious, be jealous.
While at work, I ate one of those apples for a morning snack, and ended up eating my yogurt with the Nutrisystem lunch I brought with me. I did not have an afternoon snack, which is definitely part of why I was starving by the time I got home a bit after 5.
So I learned something new yesterday that I thought I would share with you. I'm going to be doing some traveling in the near future, fairly frequently, for work, and I didn't want to have to worry about the Schwan deliveries coming to my home when I wasn't here, and I also needed more dry food for travel, so I wanted to switch to the regular program for a month, which they now, apparently, make very easy. However, the customer service agent told me that I could go on the Silver program (for old people) and only get one snack a day and save a bit of cash, so I did that for my next shipment.
That's about all I've got tonight, Fatheads, I have to turn off the computer in an hour and a half, so it's time for me to take care of other things before zero hour.
