After a delightful weigh in, I proceeded directly to stuffing my gullet.

In the bowl today: Nutrifrosted Crunch Cereal.  It's good stuff.  I mean, it's cereal of the cereal variety, you can't go wrong.

Along with my cereal, I had an ounce of salmon (protein), a slice of wheat toast (carbohydrate) and a juice box (fruit).

I'm going to spend a good portion of the morning doing job search stuff and possibly whipping out the Rosetta Stone French lessons, and then hit the basement gym around 10:30-11.  Historically, I've found that most of the new job postings hit on Monday or Thursday/Friday, so I'm not too stoked about this morning's prospects, but we must try.

Breakfast, Quickly!

I was running down to the wire at breakfast time, I had no time to cook an egg.

And, apparently, no time to remember to take a picture of the Nutrisystem package, but I DID have time to take a picture of an ounce of turkey on a scale.

For entree, I had the Nutrisystem NutriFrosted Crunch Cereal, which is basically a thin-man's portion of Frosted Flakes and rice crispies. For sides, I quickly ate an ounce of turkey (protein), a piece of wheat toast (carbohydrate) and a punch juice box (fruit). This is a good breakfast, and while having turkey with cereal is a bit strange, it's not bad. I may actually start eating non-egg proteins with breakfast more often.

Now that I finally got around to this post, it's time for my French lesson.

Meat Pop-Tart

Lunch was exciting, and I got my "Nikon D3000 for Dummies" book from UPS while I was eating, so that will probably distract me from whatever I had intended to work on this afternoon.

Lunch was the frozen Toasted Ham & Cheese, which is basically a frozen meat and cheese pastry that you cook in the microwave.

I'd intended to take a detail picture of the thing, but I apparently spaced on that goal. I also had some celery sticks and lite ranch dressing for a side. The pastry is basically a whole grain roll around cheddar and ham bits, and it's pretty good. Obviously the portion is much smaller than what most of us would have as a ham and cheddar melt, but it tastes like one and is enough to fill me up on the diet.

I spent about a half hour on French before lunch, and I made it through the spelling lesson, so I moved on to the new vocabulary, which seems to be edging more into the territory of adjectives than the earlier parts of the program. Also, it appears I've reached the dates, seasons and units of time section. All exciting stuff, I hope I get to the "How much?" and "You're my dirty little slut, maid." part soon (you don't need to say "French maid" because it's a default setting for women chained up in my basement and dressed in whatever I give them to cover their filthy bodies).

This afternoon: recheck job sites to see if anything was posted since this morning.

Dinner and Teaser

Well, me droogs, I've had an exciting day, but I'll tell you about that in its own post, for now: dinner.

Tonight, the delicious frozen Turkey Pepperoni Pizza.

For sides, I had celery sticks (unlimited vegetable), broccoli (vegetable), some bleu cheese dressing (fat) and a slice of wheat toast (carbohydrate).
This is far and away better than the warm storage equivalent. It tastes pretty close to something like a Red Baron microwave pizza, and doesn't look dissimilar. I'd rather have real pepperoni, but I can't really complain.

This was a most excellent meal, and, although I just realized I forgot to eat dessert, there is another exciting bonus post tonight. Oh, I also forgot to do more French earlier.

Lunch and WTF?

So I got an email at my professional account from someone at a university asking for me to turn in my timesheet this Friday. Apparently, the university concerned recently started using Google services, and the employee the email was intended for had confused using @google.com and @university.com. Brilliant!

Lunch today was another frozen favorite: the Chicken Quesadilla (pronouncing the "ll" as a "y" is for pussies and is unamaracun).

I also had some celery sticks (unlimited vegetable) and light ranch dressing. It's no Chipotle (chip-ottle), but it's pretty damned good.

There are many job openings out there for senior engineers, but few for entry level and lower mid-level engineers, so the morning was one of mixed successes. I applied for a few new jobs, and re-wrote my resume to target more specifically the jobs I applied for. I can't be the only one who really hates having to put my resume in plain text format.

In other news, I did a Rosetta Stone French spelling lesson right before lunch (I haven't done any lessons in awhile) and failed miserably. I'm repeating the lesson before getting back to work, and will let you know if I remember how to spell "18 plates" in French.
